Not too bad if you ask me given it is a 99 years old! Outside of just some trace amounts of staining, you would think this puppy was silver the way it has not turned black and crusty as the last one I photo'ed for you had!
I wonder what is my coil next time? More nickels? It has been quite a spell since I found any silvers..... and gold is always nice..... but hey, I still am pleased to find pennies.

That is a nice looking nickel.
I only began digging nickels when I bought my AT Pro and the earliest nickel I've found was a 1945 Washington nickel. I keep hoping for something like this. I'll keep trying.
this one came from really close to a foundation and under the eaves so was protected from the elements! big trees would be another good place, as long as they are not pine or oak - very acidic!
That is a VERY handsome Nickel. Mine always look like they've been through a WWII bombing raid.
